Game Trailer 2-Nintendo Dogs
At the very beginning of the game advert it shows the audience the logo of the games console. This is a great way for advertising as the audience know straight away before the game is even shown what console it is for, which could increase the profits for that console if the viewer likes the look of the game being advertised. There is sound used as the 3 appears into the 'Nintendo DS' title, this is showing that the gaming console is new. The sound that is used is nintendo's theme tune sound which comes on every time a nintendo game is being advertised. The number 3 in the title turns to red while all the letter surrounding it are black this makes it eye-catching as red is stereotypically used for a sign of danger.
The advert goes straight into a hand held shot showing one of the iconic singers in the saturdays (a girl group aimed at the same audience as the nintendo game would be aimed at). By having this camera angle is makes the advert seem more realistic, and instead of staged. The girl is sitting on a sofa in the makeup studio, this to the audience is showing that the saturdays like to play nintendogs on their breaks. The console is a blue shiny colour which could indicate that it is aimed for girls and boys but more so girls as the people playing the game are girls. Its not till the point that the girl is shouting 'Alfie Sit, Sit' the audience know that the game is nintendogs. The camera angle seamless edits into a subjective point of view shot showing the game console and the dog on the screens. When she says 'good boy Alfie, good boy' this will pull on the heart strings of young girls who want a dog, and get them to go and ask for nintendogs for there birthday etc. The camera then cuts to two other girls in the saturdays sitting on the sofa, one of them gets up and the camera pans her walking towards the game console. At the bottom of the screen there is graphic white writing saying that the game can only be used on the 3Ds and not the 2Ds. By making a new console that only the game works on this can also boost the companies profits up as more and more children will want the new nintendo 3DS. The girl asks 'what are you doing' with a sense of laughing to her voice, and the camera angle cuts back to the subjective point of view shot, but with another part of the game on, this time the girl is using the stylus and showing how you play the game to the other girl. The sound now has dialogue of the girl playing the game explaining what to do on the game.
Graphics appear at the bottom of the scene giving the viewer a website to visit if they want more information on the product, by doing this the viewer is then led onto looking up the product and finding lots more different products that nintendo sell, which could higher there profits as well. The camera angle turns to a two shot showing the two girls passing over the console, it then cuts back to the subjective point of view but from the different girl the girl is playing a different activity which is more interactive than the ones which were shown before. The graphics are changing at the bottom of the scene, showing the age requirement and the estimated cost for the game and the console. 'its like your'e real Alfie' by saying this the children that aren't allowed to have a pet are hooked into wanting to have this game and console. An over voice appears over lapping the iconic girls laughing. The camera then cuts to a white drop back and a real life cat and dogs sitting down behind the game, and the console. and the top right of the page there is the nintndo logo ago which appeared at the very beginning of the advert and then at the top left of the page is the advert age rating.
Overall this advert is very successful as nintendo used a girl band which had the same audience as the game console did. Also by making the advert look like a real life situation this made the advert seem more reliable.
